Guardianship

When I was invited to create artwork on eggs themed around "precious time," I contemplated various ideas inspired by the unique characteristics of the egg itself. To me, the egg symbolizes a birthplace—a nurturing and protective container of life. My goal was to convey a sense of love and protection through an intricate drawing technique that balances delicacy and boldness. Brought together is this artwork I name Guardianship.

The first of the three eggs, the largest, features two hands cradling it, as if hugging and safeguarding the precious life within. The second egg showcases a finger gently resting on its lip, signaling for silence to protect the occupant from noise and disturbances. The smallest egg is embraced by fingers that hold it tightly, ensuring it remains secure and protected.

Together, these three eggs embody a profound sense of guardianship, echoing the protective nature of the egg itself and creating an atmosphere of care and intimacy.
